What does the noun Sunset Clause (Subject to Sale) mean?
A provision in a property contract that lets the seller continue marketing the property while the buyer's contract is conditional on selling their own home. If the seller receives another acceptable offer, the buyer is given a short window (usually 48 to 72 hours) to remove the condition and commit unconditionally, or the seller can terminate the contract.
