What does the noun Sunset Clause mean?
A clause in an off-the-plan contract that sets a final date by which construction must be completed and the plan of subdivision registered. If the deadline passes, either party may be able to end the contract and the buyer's deposit is returned.
How the noun Sunset Clause is used
The sunset clause in our off-the-plan contract gave the developer 30 months to finish construction, after which either side could walk away.
