Badges

The full list of badges you can earn on How to Property, what they recognise, and how they show up on your profile.

Badges are How to Property's way of recognising specific achievements — the moments worth celebrating beyond a raw Gain total. Each badge captures a particular kind of effort: finishing your first lesson, mastering a state's rules, keeping a streak alive, helping the community along the way.

You can see every badge you've earned on your profile, and badges also appear alongside your name on forum posts so other members can see what you've accomplished.

How badges work

There are two kinds of progress behind a badge:

  • Measurable progress — a count-up towards a target. "Use 3 different calculators." Your progress bar fills as you go.
  • Binary progress — either achievable or permanently off the table. Currently only Knowledge Ace works this way: one failed quiz and the badge is out of reach.

Learning milestones

  • First Steps — complete your very first lesson. A small badge for the biggest step.
  • Path Finder — finish an entire path, start to end.
  • Perfect Lesson — complete a lesson with a perfect score on every activity within it.
  • Knowledge Ace — pass every course quiz on your first attempt. One miss and the badge is locked.

State mastery

  • NSW Expert, VIC Expert, QLD Expert, WA Expert, SA Expert, TAS Expert, ACT Expert, NT Expert — complete all state-specific content for that state. Property law and buyer incentives change dramatically at state borders, and these badges acknowledge that you've worked through the local detail.

Engagement and consistency

  • Streak Master (7) — a 7-day login streak.
  • Streak Master (14) — keep it going for two weeks.
  • Streak Master (30) — a full month of daily engagement.
  • Audio Learner — listen to 80%+ of 10 distinct lessons' audio narration. For the commute-and-learn crowd.
  • Calculator Whiz — use 3 different calculators across the tools library. Stamp duty, LMI, borrowing power, repayments — they all count.

Preparation and follow-through

  • Profile Pro — complete every section of your profile. Better profile, better personalisation.
  • Post-Purchase Pro — complete the post-purchase content after settlement. The part everyone forgets.

Community

  • Community Voice — post your first thread or reply in the forum.
  • Helping Hand — have 10 of your forum replies marked as helpful by other members.
  • Referral Champion — refer 5 friends who create an account.

Where badges appear

  • Your profile — the full grid, with progress bars for ones you haven't earned yet.
  • Forum posts — featured badges appear next to your name so the community sees what you've accomplished.
  • Your progress page — recently earned badges show alongside your level progress.

Why we chose these badges

Every badge recognises something that materially helps you become a better-informed buyer or investor: completing a path, understanding your state, keeping consistent, or lifting the community. If you see a gap — a badge you'd love that doesn't yet exist — let us know in the forum. The list grows with the community.
